Collaboration between Sunnyside High School and Pueblo High School Students participating in the SGK competition
Yesterday, January 31, Sunnyside HS Students from Ms. Sherry Brown's Physics classes, and Dr. Miguel Enriquez's Electronics Technology classes, got together and exchanged ideas and skills, at Sunnyside HS.
They discussed the electrical system components, including solar panels, charge controllers, motor and motor controllers, and practiced soldering skills.
Sunnyside received a soldering station, soldering supplies, and baby solar panels (5 cells each) laminated at Pueblo HS with a paper laminator.

SolarWorld Gran Turismo solar car starts the US leg of its round the world tour

SolarWorld collaborated with Bochum University of Applied Sciences in Germany to built the vehicle. Solar powered race cars have been developed at Bochum University since 2002.
The students, employees, and professors of the faculty of mecatronics and mechanical engineering, as well as the faculty of electrical engineering and informatics, proudly present this prime example of energy efficiency which was built by the students themselves.
